Well, I finally did it! I booked the entire trip to Puerto Rico. We are going there to celebrate my old friend Jeff’s wedding. I can’t wait, It is going to be awesome. We are staying at the Condando Plaza for 5 days and 6 nights. A special thanks to Jeff for setting up a discount on the rooms.
Well, after what seemed like a rather long weekend driving to Deleware Ohio with Erin for Thanksgiving, I’m finally back at work today. Over the long holiday weekend I was fortunate enough to meet some really awesome people and see some pretty cool stuff.
Thursday morning, Erin and I woke up and started our trek out east to Delaware Ohio to goto Erin’s aunt Rita’s house. The drive was about 5-6 hours, plus a time change so we lost an hour. When we showed up we started with a drink, then some good old fashioned Turkey dinner.
After dinner, there was desert of course which was excellent followed by some rounds of Cranium and Scene It in the living room with all of her cousins.
The next day we woke up and kinda explored what was all of one block of Delaware, Ohio. It was exciting. Antique malls, coffee shops and small art stores lined the street. We killed a few hours doing this in between a couple trips to “the Walmart”.
About 3:30pm we started to get ready for the wedding reception for Erin’s cousin, the whole reason why we were there. It was a blast, dancing, drinks, food and pinching all over the place ( I think I might be in with a couple of Erin’s Uncles now ).
After a good night sleep we woke up on our journey back to Chicago, but first stopped to see some roadside attractions along the way. I took a few videos of these with my new Flip Video camera Erin got me for my birthday. Check them out.
