tjmapes.com featured in web design magazineI came into work today and Lawrence told me that he saw my site in a magazine. (actually Brian said Lawrence told him, but…)  I started researching and found the magazine online, rushed to Boarders and picked up 2 copies.  The article is called “Wordpress Rules!” and it is in Web Designer magazine (back issue #149), from the UK so it was kinda pricey, but worth it.

I work on a Mac all day, everyday.  I find myself wanting to take full page screenshots all the time when I’m wanting to capture an entire website.  But with the built in screenshot abilities of the mac (unless there is one I’m unaware of) this isn’t possible.

Old Method:  I used to just take about 2 or 3 screenshots and paste them into photoshop and splice them together.  Then I’d have to delete any access or overlap which took a little time.  Not much but still, it wasn’t a one stop solution.  OR there is a Firefox extension I used to use many times called Screengrab that would work about 50% of the time.  Not reliable but when it worked, it worked out well.

So this morning I finally got sick of this and researched and found this…

New MethodPaparazzi!  This little mac app is amazing.  All you do is open it, type in a web address and hit capture.  It downloads it, and saves it to your choosing.

I highly recommend this for all your full page screenshot needs.  If there are any other great little apps that are similar, I’d love to know.
