“The Grocer” was kind enough to include me in his wonderful new spread for his shirts.  Don’t I look strange! Felix, Allison and AJ joined in the fun as well.

Well, I got my new guitar today. I’m such an impulse buyer. I was in the market for one, saw it on good old Craig’sList and got it the next day! I haven’t tried it out yet but here are some pics. I’m pretty excited. Now I just need an amp sometime. For now I’ll just direct-in to the interface for recording. I can’t wait to play around with this.

Well, I’m not sure what this song is or will be or if it ever will be, but I’ve got a little snip of what I made up today.  I’m still basically trying to just have some fun with this.  So don’t flame on me too much.  Vocals still need a little work, but this is a ROUGH run at it.  

Thanks to Chresten for dropping in some actual live drums for me (as well as some lead and bass.  Sounds tight!  Nice work buddy.

This past Monday I got the chance to catch Tokyo Police Club and it was great.  Here is their latest video from their new record, “Elephant Shell”.  

Well I’ve had the past 2 days off from work and it has been great.  I’ve finally dug up my cables needed to transfer my pictures to my computer so my family and others can see the new diggs.  So without further ado: check em out.

Let me know what you think.  I tried a really weak attempt at doing a 360 picture and stitching it together, but didn’t really take enough time to do it right.  Plus, the file size was so large it was taking forever to load on the flickr site anyways (with my stolen wireless until tomorrow).

I also went on my first trip ever to Ikea yesterday and picked up a couple rugs, a new desk and a couple other things.  Now all we need is a grill and a few friends and we’ll have a heck of a poker party.  

Now I have my desk all set up, my mini home studio is almost complete.  I just need to get my mics I ordered.  I’m guessing they are arriving at work today, except I won’t be there to get them sadly.  I kinda wish I would have had them sent to me at home now, since I’m here.  

Well up until this Saturday I hadn’t assembled one single box or packed anything in my entire apartment and was scheduled to move the following day (Sunday).  So I woke up Saturday morning and started to goto town.  We had everything boxed up in about 5 hours.  

Sunday, we started the day with picking up the uhaul (but first going to the wrong location).  We had it reserved for 9am-3pm, but sadly didn’t even show up at the place till around Noon.  We were done in 3-4 hours thanks to the help of Lee, Katie and Nicky.

Not to alienate all 3 people each week who read this but I just noticed in IE6 (as I was testing another site) that my site is totally jacked up.  So I posted this just to let you know that if you are viewing this in Internet Explorer, it will never look good.  Not because I can’t fix it, but because I flat out don’t care what it renders as in IE (any version).  I know most of the issues revolve around the box model, but box model this!

I’m not sure what this is. It started as a small riff and ended up as this.

I have been running wild the past two nights going to shows.  Wednesday night I went out and saw Minus The Bear at House of Blues with some good friends, Matt, Danny (his buddy) and Paul.  Then lastnight I saw Hot Chip at the Vic with Erin.

It’s been a good fast week so far.  Sunday I’m going to Wrigley again for a Cubs game!  Go Cubs!

I swear I hear about someone’s new baby every other week (more like every week). I suppose I am at that age when it does make sense and all. I guess I’m just very late in the game or something. I’m not really sure. This was just on my mind so I decided to post it.

I’m just glad I don’t have to goto baby showers. Gosh I feel old.
